288 Supertees

More comfort for Queensland kids

Supertees are adaptive medical garments designed for children in hospital, helping them receive the treatment they need while staying comfortable, covered and dignified.
Recently, Variety Queensland awarded a grant that will provide 288 Supertees to children across Queensland who are unwell.

Our Variety family got to see the impact of this grant up close during a special volunteer day with The Supertee Project.

We heard the inspiring story behind Supertees, listened to a mum share how these garments have made a difference for her family, and then got stuck in, packing Supertees ready to reach children across Queensland.

And the designs? From Space Commanders and Tradies to Ballerinas, there’s a colourful design to bring a little fun and personality to hospital stays.

We were joined by Variety Bashers, Variety International Global Ambassador Poppy Wilson, and workplace volunteers from ANZ, Bupa, Origin and Suncorp, all coming together to make a difference for Queensland kids.

community in action

A huge thank you to everyone who rolled up their sleeves to help make this happen.
Now, the Supertees have arrived at Queensland Children’s Hospital, ready to help bring a little more comfort to children when they need it most.

Together, we’re helping children feel more comfortable, confident and like themselves – even during a hospital stay.
