The Variety Bash is Australia’s Longest Running and Most Iconic Charity Motoring Event Running for Over 40 Years
Hit the road on an unforgettable outback adventure with the Variety Bash Queensland, where vibrant communities, iconic landscapes and true Aussie spirit come together. Travel through some of Queensland’s most unique regional destinations, meet locals, experience the unexpected, and create lasting memories with like-minded adventurers.

From dusty tracks to country town welcomes, every kilometre delivers a new story, all while making a meaningful difference for children in need.

In 2026, the Variety Bash will be travelling from Innisfail to Gladstone.

When you sign up and fundraise to take part, you’re directly supporting children who are sick, experiencing disadvantage or living with disabilities. Many of these incredible kids you’ll meet along the way! This isn't a race or a rally – it’s about adventure, mateship, and making a real difference in the lives of kids in need.
How it works

Secure your spot on 2026 Variety Bash with our early bird registration fee of $199.

After the early bird period, the standard entry fee will be $385.

Fundraising

The Variety Bash is all about making a difference for Aussie kids in need. Each Bash car commits to a minimum fundraising target of $8,500, while AW entries have a target of $4,500, and $2,500 for AC entries.

Most teams exceed these goals, and you’ll have plenty of support and resources to help you get there!

Provisions Levy

Closer to the event, a per-person provisions levy will be set to cover meals, entertainment, camping sites, and merchandise. As a guide, this is usually around $1,400 per person.
Variety Heart Lounge

If joining the Variety Bash has always been on your bucket list but you don’t have time to organise your own Bash Car, secure a spot on the Variety Heart Lounge 4WD Bus!

Pricing:

Full Trip: $5,499
Half Trip: $2,999

Inclusions:

  • Daily transport on the Heart Lounge
  • Daily drinks on the lounge throughout the day (Beer, wine, soft drink, and limited basic spirits.)

    Please Note: Evening drinks must be purchased from the bar at your own expense.
  • Provisions levy
  • Accommodation in most locations and camping fees where required
  • Two nights of camping
  • Transfers from Brisbane (Rocklea) to Innisfail
  • Transfers from Gladstone back to Brisbane (Rocklea)

In 2026, the QLD Variety Bash will be travelling from Innisfail to Gladstone.

As we hit the road in 25-year-old-plus cars, we’ll travel through some of Queensland’s most spectacular scenery, stopping in remote towns and creating memories to last a lifetime.

The Variety 4WD Adventure takes you deep into Australia’s most breathtaking outback regions with full medical and mechanical support.

In 2026, the Variety 4WD Adventure will journey to South Australia’s spectacular Flinders Ranges – an unforgettable outback experience where tackling rugged tracks and sharing the adventure helps raise vital funds to support children who are sick, disadvantaged or living with disabilities.
