As Australia continues to grapple with a cost-of-living crisis, we believe it is more important than ever to empower young people with the skills they need to make informed financial decisions and build independence.
That’s why Variety funds a Financial Literacy Program – supporting young people in Grades 10-12 living with disabilities, who may face additional barriers to financial independence and be more vulnerable to exploitation.
Delivered in special schools across Queensland by trained facilitators, these fun, memorable and engaging workshops are tailored to individual strengths and learning styles, helping young people build confidence in managing money and planning for their future.

Our Financial Literacy Program is the only one of its kind in Australia tailored to young people with cognitive or physical disabilities.
Variety Queensland has committed $167,000 for the core delivery of 147 sessions to more than 15 schools over the next two years. This will impact over 600 kids.
