As Australia continues to grapple with a cost-of-living crisis, we believe it is more important than ever to empower young people with the skills they need to make informed financial decisions and build independence.
That’s why Variety funds a Financial Literacy Program – supporting young people in Grades 10-12 living with disabilities, who may face additional barriers to financial independence and be more vulnerable to exploitation.
Delivered in special schools across Queensland by trained facilitators, these fun, memorable and engaging workshops are tailored to individual strengths and learning styles, helping young people build confidence in managing money and planning for their future.

Empowering Young People with Life Skills That Matter
Our Financial Literacy Program is the only one of its kind in Australia tailored to young people with cognitive or physical disabilities.
Your donation today can help them gain the practical financial skills, confidence and independence they need to make informed decisions, manage money safely, and build a more secure future for themselves.
Please give generously before 30 June 2026 to help empower more young people through the Financial Literacy Program. Donations in May-June 2026 will go toward Variety’s Financial Literacy Program as part of our EOFY Appeal.
All donations over $2 are tax deductible.
